Neighbors Together

“For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” Matthew 25:35

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by all of the needs in this world and wondered how you could make a difference? Consider volunteering on the third Thursday of the month with your friends from St. Luke’s at the Neighbors Together Community Lunch program from 10:00AM-1:30PM. Come and serve lunch with us, as we share God’s love with our neighbors in need. There is a sign up sheet in our church Narthex, or you may contact the church office to sign up. 10 volunteers are needed each month. Just maybe you will see Christ in your midst!

Ralph Jacob (pictured below donned in yellow) is a volunteer, who started coming to Neighbors Together in August of 2021, but has been a dedicated advocate ever since! In addition to his weekly volunteering, he has rallied his others at St. Luke’s to commit to serving once a month! Ralph says, “Once people come, it’s easy, because people want to come back and help!”

Neighbors Together is a program that is committed to bringing a better quality of life to our neighbors through sharing resources, developing relationships, and building a sustainable future. They work to serve our communty with Dignity and Hope for our Four Pillars of Service: Hunger, Health & Wellness, Homelessness, and Economic Mobility.  They are located at 2105 Cosgrove Ave in North Charleston, SC.
